Sup Tulang that's Senang Je
I didn't waste any opportunity to snap up some beef cuts for cheap at the supermarket yesterday. It's not being ✌🏻aunty✌🏻 it's called being a savvy consumer, get it right!
Anyway, make la sup tulang at home (beef bone soup) it's delicious, easy and not oily because you're able to skim the oil off easily.
Here's how I did it today.

Heat oil in pot, then add cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, cardamom pods and coriander seeds. The oil is hot, the seeds should be popping slightly.

Then quickly add cumin seeds. It will sizzle but careful, the popping can be uncontrollable if the oil is too hot.

This is rapid fire. Quickly toss in lemongrass, ginger garlic paste and onion. Keep folding them to avoid burning.

Next, add curry leaves.

Do not add water if you can help it. The onion's juices should be able to deglaze the pot. Now add onion, garlic, turmeric and cayenne powders. Keep folding the ingredients.

Now add beef bones. Toss in sea salt, black pepper and black peppercorns into the mix. Give it a good stir.

Add about 2 1/2 soup bowls of water and place scallions into the pot. Let this simmer for over 3 hours.
